2013 Summary of Art Meme

Well, this is my summary of art! Let's get started!

JANUARY:  I don't have much to say with this one. I got a new tablet for Christmas so I was exploring new features that I couldn't do with my old tablet. I was also messing around with the shading trying to give it a 3D affect, but I failed I was proud of it back when I made it though

FEBRUARY: My laptop's hard drive broke this month, so I didn't draw anything. There's no art on my main account or my commission account from this month. Stupid laptop

MARCH:  My laptop was finally fixed and I was able to draw again! Since my computer was dead, I got used to sketching traditionally once more. I was sketching everything on paper, then getting it to my computer via cellphone because I didn't have a printer at the time The lineart always bothered me in this because the canvas was too small and there were free pixels all over, but I never got to fixing it.

APRIL:  My first aboptable! I wanted to try my hand at selling characters this month. I used to use a base for my pony adoptables that I made this month, so it counts for this month After this one sold, I was confident and made more, also spamming my watcher's with them

MAY:  I remember how proud of this I was. I finally found out how to draw magic aura for unicorns and I was practicing more pony poses. My boyfriend really liked it too Though that pillow keeps bothering me >.<

JUNE:  Whoa, first thing with shading on this list since January! I was never a huge fan of shading but this month I started pushing myself to make my shading skills better. I remember having a bunch of fun drawing the hair in this. I also realized how lazy I was while drawing this because Boo doesn't have legs in this. Hover skirt.

JULY: This featured the first time I used the lineart tool since December if I recall. It was the 4th of July and I was too lazy to go back into my room and grab my tablet I was too busy hanging out with *RhymeReason and getting excited for fireworks. This was one of the rare adoptables that I autosold, which made me really happy as well.

AUGUST: wightshadoo.deviantart.com/art…  My Sonicsona was born! *XPsychotic-Nightmare was telling me I should make a Sonicsona for a comic that she NEVER MADE I based her off of my albino rat, Fettuccine, and myself. I'm a huge Captain America fan so of course I had to give her that tee!

SEPTEMBER:  wightshadoo.deviantart.com/art…  Finally after about three long months, my contest ended! This was one of the prizes I made for one of the winners. I had to base their human character and make a Sonic version of her, so I ended up with this!

 

OCTOBER: wightshadoo.deviantart.com/art…  This is one of my favorite Sonic adoptables to date. It's simple, but I felt like the colors looked well together. 

NOVEMBER: wightycomms.deviantart.com/art…   This was actually meant to be a contest entry for =008--IRN, but I never got it finished in time. When I showed him the WIP sketch, he loved it and paid me to finish the rest. Vol is normally a more difficult character for me to draw, but this one came out pretty well. I'm still proud of it

DECEMBER: wightycomms.deviantart.com/art…  Hey, look, more shading. This is one of the many Secret Christmas commissions I got. The person that commissioned everything wanted everything with this kind of shading, so once again I had to get off of my lazy flat coloring butt and had to get back into shading. I actually enjoy this shading style, it's simple but it looks good, at least in my opinion.
